Class Warfare in America

Professor Robert Reich delivered the Mario Savio Memorial Lecture, “Class Warfare in America,” to the crowd of more than 5000 gathered on Sproul Plaza as part of the Occupy Cal demonstrations.

“The days of apathy are over,” he told the crowd. “Once this has begun, it cannot be stopped, and it will not be stopped.”

The Mario Savio Memorial Lecture honors the memory, vision and moral courage of the Berkeley activist and his key role in the birth of the free speech movement.
